PAFloorsPennsylvania Floors·Floors for houses that were here first.

How We Research This Site

PA Floors publishes flooring cost information and installation guidance for Pennsylvania. We do not sell flooring, we do not install it, and we do not pass your details to anyone who does.

What this site is

An independent Pennsylvania flooring resource. The cost guides, the material pages, the city
pages and the estimator are all here to answer the same question: what is this likely to cost, and
what about my house changes that answer.

Where the numbers come from

  • Housing data — U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year
estimates, tables B25034 (year structure built) and B25035 (median year structure built). Every
city figure on this site is that city’s own published number, not a regional average applied to it.
  • The state ranking — National Association of Home Builders analysis of American
Community Survey data, which places Pennsylvania fourth in the country for oldest housing stock.
  • Cost ranges — published installed price ranges for Pennsylvania, presented as
bands rather than point estimates because that is what they honestly are.

Where a national figure is national, we say so. There is no credible per-state data on which
flooring material is most installed in Pennsylvania specifically, so we do not publish one — the
LVP and ceramic rankings quoted on this site are national rankings, described as national.

What we do not do

  • We do not quote jobs, and nobody from this site will call you.
  • We do not publish reviews or testimonials, because we have no customers to review us.
  • We do not claim crews, trucks, years in business or completed projects.
  • The photography on this site is licensed stock used to illustrate materials and rooms. It is
not work by anyone connected to this site, and it is never presented as such.

The estimator

The cost estimator is deterministic arithmetic running in
your browser. It is not an AI, it does not call anything, and it cannot invent a number. It takes
published Pennsylvania rate bands, applies your room size, your material and your conditions, and
shows the working. It is a planning tool and it is explicitly not a quote.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we would rather know. Every page carries a last-updated date, and
factual corrections get made rather than quietly left.
